Scholarly
Scholarly articles are written by experts in a field to inform others in that field about the most recent research and developments. They are published in scholarly or academic journals and may be peer-reviewed. These articles will provide the most substantive information for college research.
Peer Reviewed
A peer reviewed article is one that has been reviewed by experts in an academic discipline or professional field before being published. The experts assess the quality of the research and its potential contribution to the field. A peer-reviewed journal is one that uses this process, but not all articles included in a journal are themselves peer-reviewed.
Evidence Based
Evidence based research articles are those in which authors share findings and analysis of original research that is informed by previous study and conducted using accepted quantitative or qualitative methods. The content may consist of any or all of these sections: abstract, literature review, research methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
